The Department of Computer Science & Engineering was established in September 1998. It has made significant progress since its inception and attained the status of a pioneering Department particularly in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and in general in the University.
The Department is currently running an eight Semester B. Tech. programme in Computer Science & Engineering and a Six semester part-time evening M.Tech programme in Computer Science & Engineering. The Department also offers Ph.D. Programme in emerging areas of Computer science & Engineering. The departmental labs are well equipped with latest hardware and software. There are several state of the art equipment including desk top Computers and Servers based on Windows, and linux platforms. All laboratories and staff Rooms and offices are fully network and connected to The Internet.
The teaching staffs are actively involved in Research and Development activities in the emerging areas of Computer Science & Engineering. Faculty members of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering are highly qualified, educated from reputed institute, dedicated and dynamic. Currently research is being carried out in the areas of Sotware Engineering, Computer Networks and Computer Architecture.
The Computer Science & Engineering department is air-conditioned , well maintained and professionally managed. Massive investments have been made in creating hardware and software facilities to provide best-in-class infrastructure and easy access to all the students, for grooming them for industry readiness and top placements.

The department organizes additional activities like seminars, group discussions, technical debates, presentations on current trends in the field of Computer Science & Engineering, in order to provide the students a great deal of ‘hands-on’ exposure in software designing, coding, testing, deployments and overall programming capabilities of the students.
